I'd subscribed to the Disquiet Junto's Marc Weidenbaum newsletter since maybe more than 10 years ago now! So happy to find you guys on Substack :-) Tarik Otmani
I really like "To the Sea, My Little Pirate." Is that your voice on the track? I always wanted to record an "album" (song collection?) so I find this very fascinating what all you can do online. Keep up the good work!
Thank you tremendously! Yes, that's my voice you hear. I learned the melody partly from my mom and added new lyrics. I've only done a few vocal recordings, and I have a new song I invite you to check out: "The Fire's Gonna Rise."
I remember you've noted your own singing talent, so I would love to hear your album / songs! There are a lot of avenues to put your work out there, even in this space!
I was not familiar with the Wayback Machine, but my husband told me about the Internet Archive when I was trying to find out whether some radio plays from thirty years ago were still available. They were right there!
Another highly educational and enjoyable piece, Angel. I am now enjoying going through the links in the piece. Thanks so much for expanding my musical universe 😀
Thanks so much for having shared your experience with the Junto, Angel.
Much appreciated!
It's a great run! Let's continue!

Post the links and I'll check them all out! :-)
I wish I had the technical know-how (and equipment) to record online. Maybe one of these days I'll learn.
